Ashley&Jake

  Hey guys, this was the first romance story I had written. hope you like it.

“And now to tell who will play the main characters. The female lead, Lady Margot, will be played by Ashley Sanders, and the male lead, Lord Humphrey, will be played by Jake Anderson.” The drama club leader, standing on stage, said, “rehearsal starts tomorrow, be there, and don’t be late. Meeting dismissed,” He instructed everyone. Jake and Ashlyn 2 completely different people. Jake, an incredible athlete, is very popular, while Ashley, an introvert, has no social status or class whatsoever and only has one friend named Charlotte. How can they even pretend to be lovers? They have absolutely nothing in common, or do they now? You may be thinking. Discrimination is a widespread thing. The only thing these two have in common is love.

Both had a huge crush on each other, Jake’s heart belonged to Ashley, and her heart belonged to him. But both knew that if they were together, society would tear them apart, limb from limb. So, they had to do it in secret. Every Friday night, the two lovebirds would sneak out at night to meet. All was going great until one night when they got caught red-handed. As usual, they met at night at their secret spot, “We can’t keep us a secret for too long. We will have to tell them the truth sometime now, you know,” Jake said to Ashley as they sat on the bench. “And that will be now, you know. I never suspected you of keeping a secret from me, Ash. I could’ve kept a secret for you, you know.” Right there, standing behind the bench was Charlotte. “You made the right decision by informing us about this little scandal,” Replied Ashlyn’s parents, coming out of the bushed behind them with Jake’s parents, “Yes, you did,” said Jake’s mother to Charlotte, turning towards her.

“C’mon, Let’s make a run for it,” Ashley said to Jake, taking Jake’s hand and taking her mom’s car keys, and they started to run. “Well, that was a wild goose chase, but finally, after an hour of driving, we lost them,” Jake said, and they both started to laugh like crazy. They stopped at a gas station, and while they filled up gas, Jake confessed that while they were running, Jake had taken his mom’s credit card. What he said made Ashley spit out the juice she was drinking. “Are you crazy?” She asked as a joke, and Jake nodded his head.

Ping! was the sound of Ashley getting a text.

“Ugh! Charlotte texted me! Right now, I don’t even want to look at her. I can’t stand her. I mean, she’s been my best friend since we were kids. How could she betray me like that?!” Said Ashley, with mixed feelings about Charlotte. “The same way you betrayed her? I’m just saying, Do you know how hard it must’ve been for her when she found out about us? How hard must it be for her to tell the truth to our parents? She must have thought you couldn’t have trusted her to keep us a secret.”

Jake consulted Ash as they continued on the drive. Ashley kept silent, thinking about how hard it had been for Charlotte; she saw her text. “I’m sorry If I made you feel you couldn’t trust me, I wanted to talk to you about it the moment I found out. I was scared. If your parents discovered this a little later, They would’ve killed you. That’s why I told them. I hope my text finds you safe. I don’t know where or what you’re doing, but as long as you’re safe, I don’t mind. I know you’re furious at me right now, but I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me someday. With love, Charlotte.” “Well, what does it say?” Asked Jake while stopping the car. “We need to go back right now. I’ve made a grave mistake,” said Ashley in her harsh voice and took the wheel to take them back home. Jake stopped her, “But if we return now, we’ll be separated, maybe even forever. Society will tear us apart, limb from limb.” Saying this, Ash showed him the message, breaking down in tears. He comforts her, “Fine. We’ll stay in a hotel tonight and go home tomorrow, ok? Now stop crying.”.

They filled up gas and went to a hotel in half an hour. The next day, they woke up early and returned home after breakfast. As they were on the road, Ash told Jake she didn’t want to go home and took the wheel to take him to a sacred place. Jake was hesitant at first but agreed. She took him to an actual time machine! “Rumors say that a scientist who couldn’t get over the loss of his late wife spent a year pushing away his family and friends to create a time machine as he said he wanted to “Reverse my mistake” and never found again.” She told Jake, “Are you sure about this?” asked Jake. “Yes, I’m sure. I never want to lose you again,” Ashley replied. When Jake pulled her into the most romantic kiss, she was about to enter, “What was that for?” Ashley asked him, giggling, “For good luck,” and they entered the machine. They thought the two could and would be together forever, but something went wrong with the device, and they both ended up in different timelines, Never seen again.
